nearly complete.
The top wing center section is installed. To the side a finished wing
section
waits for when the airframe is rolled outside and it will be mounted.
This
pioneer airplane is very complex despite its age. It has taken Ken
Cassen
and other dedicated people three years to complete its
restoration.
This is the top left wing. It has been
completed and will
be stored until the day it is mounted in its place above the fuselage.
The craftsmanship here is absolutely immaculate.
This beautiful plane in mid-restoration is only a tease for what it will be when you see it flying at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome Airshow. |
